Founded in 2016, The Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia Giving Circle is dedicated to improving the life circumstances of low-income women and children in the Philadelphia region by awarding grants to the non-profits that serve them. In May 2021, we awarded a grant of $40,000 to The People’s Kitchen – a food security and employment survival project in collaboration with the restaurant El Compadre in South Philadelphia serving more than 200 free, chef-cooked meals per day.

"The Giving Circle grant helped us open a second elementary school library in Fairhill, North Philadelphia. When children have a choice of exciting books to take home, they want to read, they read more, and their skill increases. We are very grateful."
